Icy Chrome Nails Are the Coolest Wintry Manicure

We can almost smell the snow in the air and feel the frost on our fingertips; winter is almost here. Whether you love the cold or could do without winter altogether, you may as well lean into the season’s chic aesthetic. Chrome nails have been a consistent trend, and this season we’re seeing some wintry twists on the look that we love.

Founder and CEO of Lights Lacquer, Kathleen Lights says she’s “seeing a lot of cool-toned, frosted shades that give that soft, icy feel.” She points to icy blues, silvery shimmers and frosted finishes as trends she thinks we’ll be seeing throughout the winter. Nail artist and educator Sofiia Mazur also predicts we’ll see a mix of soft, icy translucent shades, like baby blue and milky pink that, are reminiscent of frost melting under sunlight.
