Seasonal nail colors are a force to be reckoned with during the colder months. While summer and spring’s trends hinge on nail art and cool designs, fall and winter beg for manicures that are a bit more understated. For example, a short, deep burgundy manicure or a set of almond nails coated in coffee brown feels appropriate for the season. Few people seem to nail this notion as often as Tom Bachik and Selena Gomez. Recently, the celebrity manicurist and actress debuted “spiced apple cider” nails and the internet is swooning.

The look dropped during one of Gomez’s beloved get-ready-with-me videos on Instagram. If you’re a fan of Rare Beauty, you know these videos are covetable. In the clip, captioned “Just a nice evening at home with RareBeauty,” she proceeds to do some light skin care and full glam using essentials from her brand. While her makeup was stunning, it was her manicure that stole the show.

Warm, rich and effortlessly chic, the cider-toned polish and glossy top coat became the focus as she bounced from dotting concealer to contouring. Gomez and Bachik have a knack for creating an ultra-luxe look that’s wearable no matter what the occasion. Even better, the celebrity manicurist is always forthcoming with the details, just in case you want to recreate the look at home.

On his Instagram, he shared the exact shade he used to create Gomez’s spiced apple cider nails. Turns out, you don’t need to go the extra mile to get the look. For her toasty manicure, Bachik used Aprés Spiced Apple Cider gel polish, which also happens to be HEMA and TPO-free. The shade is a soft brown with warm spiced undertones that give it a deep and comforting feel. Just a few coats and a layer of topcoat were all that was needed to create the gorgeous set. To recreate Gomez’s classic style, try pairing the color with short oval nails or an almond nail shape for a natural look.
