Last night, Selena Gomez hosted the third annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit: A Night of Radiance & Reflection. The evening raised $600,000 to support efforts to increase access to youth mental health services and education globally. Gomez was the host with the most gorgeous look featuring a 90s lip look, sleek bob and a show-stopping manicure.
What if we told you that you could recreate her blush jelly chrome manicure at home? Her nails were done by her frequent collaborator, celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik, using a new builder gel product and chrome powder.
Builder gel has become the hot ticket to repairing, lengthening and strengthening natural nails in the salon, but for Gomez’s look, Bachik used a new product that you can use at home—Olive & June Builder Gel in Blush Jelly ($12). To create Gomez’s blush jelly chrome manicure, Bachik began with prep. After prepping her cuticles, Gomez used Olive & June Nail Strengthener ($14) to create a strong foundation. Then he applied the builder gel “to strengthen and create the perfect shape of the nail.”
After the builder gel, Bachik added a layer of Olive & June Gel Polish Top Coat ($12). Next comes the chrome. He used the shade Aurora from his Cosmic Chrome Powder Collection ($12). It “was the perfect way to make this ’90s glam look modern,” he says. He locked it all in with a final layer of top coat.
