And lucky for anyone looking for an excuse to refresh their makeup bag, the platform recently released its Pinterest Predicts 2026 report, which spans every category you’ve ever pinned with wild abandon—including, of course, beauty.

Ahead, beauty expert Annabelle Taura of Fresha, a global beauty and wellness booking platform, breaks down what’s coming and which looks you’re likely to see everywhere very soon. She weighs in on both the makeup and nail trends explicitly called out in the report, as well as those inferred from broader movements. You’ll see what we mean, ahead.

Cool Blue: Frosted Tones and Icy Shimmer

“Cobalt blue has been huge over the last year, so it’s interesting to see this cool-toned, frosted iteration set to trend in 2026,” says Taura. She expects icy metallic shadows and silver cream formulas to stick around, with gemstone eyeshadow looks starting to feel more wearable.

Extra Celestial: Iridescent, High-Gloss Glow

“It’s very similar to Cool Blue, but it immediately screams iridescence,” says Taura. Rather than leaning sci-fi, she explains that the look centers on “ultra–high gloss, hyper-reflective textures and finishes that catch the light from every angle.” She says we can expect a to skin-first glow, including Vaseline-style highlighting, chrome eyeliner in the waterline and iridescent finishes.

Gimme Gummy: Jelly Textures and Playful Neons

“This trend really highlights the rise in popularity of Gen Z and Gen X makeup and skincare,” says Taura. Jelly blushes and lip products, she adds, “show absolutely no signs of slowing down.” Along with the squishy textures and nostalgic colors, that playful energy may spill into nails and hair, with brighter shades and bold pops back in rotation.

Glitchy Glam: Graphic Color and Playful Clashes

“People want to have fun with their makeup,” Taura says, calling out a shift away from quiet luxury and clean-girl minimalism. “Expect a full return to opaque washes of color on the lid, often paired with a contrasting liner for that deliberate, mismatched effect,” she predicts. “We’ll likely see a move away from the classic winged liner in favor of more graphic shapes like reverse wings, floating creases, negative space liner and possibly more colored mascaras, too. Burgundy already had a moment this year, and I can see vibrant blues, greens and purples following suit.”

Laced Up: Delicate Lace Bridal Details

“I really see this trend taking off on the bridal scene,” Taura says. “Brides are getting bored with the classic French or baby French manicure.” Lace-inspired nail art offers something softer and more personal, with similar delicate details potentially showing up in hair through ribbons or embroidered accents.

Vamp Romantic: Dark Glamour and Jewel Tones

“It was no surprise to see Vamp Romantic appear as a major trend,” Taura says, pointing to the wave of moody films and literary adaptations on the horizon. Those influences drive “romantic, siren-esque makeup looks built around deeper plum, cherry and burgundy jewel tones,” along with richer, darker hair colors to match.
